Motor Development Student Union
The club's goal is to address motor development and implement training elements into rehabilitation and post-rehabilitation. It also discusses the impact of physical fitness on athletic performance, injury prevention, improving the function of patients with motor deficits, and provides general education on improving health through movement and a healthy lifestyle.
Goals: The club's goal is to bring together students interested in expanding their knowledge of movement and motor development, as well as honing the art of communicating this knowledge to patients and the wider public. It also promotes the profession of physiotherapy as a comprehensive bodywork specialist. Finally, it establishes contacts with other scientific clubs and organizes inter-university events aimed at emphasizing the importance of interdisciplinary work.
Short-term goals:
- Meeting of members and setting meeting dates
- Collecting ideas and choosing a strategy for the club's operations
- Creating a social media page for the club
Long-term goals:
- Organizing workshops with friendly specialists (motor trainers, physiotherapists, dietitians, psychologists, speech therapists)
- Organizing inter-university meetings (SKN physiotherapy with AWFiS in Gdańsk, SKN speech therapy with UG
- Potential scientific activity (depending on the interest and commitment of the club members), i.e. designing scientific research and attempting to present the results in journals and at scientific conferences
Work organization:
- A Facebook group that is a space for posting organizational announcements or planning events related to the activities of the science club.
- Instagram profile for reporting on the club's activities, promoting the direction, and sharing health-related content
- On-site meeting - carried out according to students' time availability
- Remote meetings during which feasible ideas will be discussed
- Regular workshops with specialists in medical and related fields
