CHAIRMAN OF THE STUDENT GOVERNMENT
Marzena Gajlewicz
A second-year psychology student, she has been developing her passion for working with people for years – she graduated from the University of Zielona Góra with a degree in pedagogy, majoring in socio-cultural animation, specializing in dance. She is also a fitness instructor and a certified chess instructor and arbiter for the Polish Chess Federation.
She has extensive experience working with youth, organizing cultural and sporting events, and summer recreation. She has many ideas for implementing exciting initiatives for our student community. She loves active recreation, especially board games, role-playing games, and costume games – they're the best way to connect people and build relationships.
Psychology studies allow us to better understand students' needs and more effectively support their development. As Student Government President, I would like to work to create a friendly, creative, and supportive student environment. I would also like to contribute to promoting the Gdańsk Medical Academy of Applied Sciences by organizing initiatives that combine development, culture, sport, and fun.

FROM THE LIFE OF THE STUDENT GOVERNMENT
The Magic of Christmas at the University of Health in Gdańsk – thank you for being with us!
We have completed unique workshops full of warmth and creativity, where, accompanied by atmospheric music and the aroma of Christmas tea, we created atmospheric decorations, handmade cards and other ornaments.
We would like to thank all participants for finding time during the pre-holiday rush to spend time together and reflect on the upcoming holidays. Your energy, smiles, and creative engagement made the atmosphere truly special.
HALLOWEEN ATTRACTIONS
The corridors of the University of Health in Gdańsk have turned into a true kingdom of ghosts, witches and… psychology!
The Student Clinical Psychology Research Group, in collaboration with the Student Government, has prepared Halloween-themed attractions for our students! Visitors were treated to:
- Halloween crossword puzzle – only for the bravest knowledge seekers,
- „"Witch's Cauldron" – a place where one could symbolically "throw in one's fears" and receive magical support,
- Sweet Halloween cupcakes – delicious and dangerously tempting,
- Halloween Quizzes – Testing Your Psychology Knowledge… and a Little Courage,
- A stand promoting blood donation – a serious accent in a spooky atmosphere!
It was a combination of fun, psychological reflection, and education – in the spirit (literally!) of the academic community.
BREAKING THE FIRST AID RECORD
On October 16, 2025, at the initiative of the Student Government, we organized a first aid record-breaking event at the University of Health in Gdańsk as part of the nationwide Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (WOŚP) campaign. The record-breaking event coincides with European Restart a Heart Day. The aim of the campaign is to jointly promote first aid education. Last year, 116,247 people from 1,044 institutions participated in the WOŚP event, and over the past eight years, a total of 777,460 people have joined the campaign!
The WOŚP record-breaking event was scheduled for 12:00 PM, but starting at 11:00 AM, we prepared participants, reviewing CPR and AED procedures, as well as providing information and education. The training and record-breaking exercise took place on 29 professional training manikins, and the entire event was led by Łukasz Wodziński, a qualified and professionally active paramedic and lecturer at the Gdańsk University of Applied Sciences (WSZ). Members of the WSZ Emergency Medical Services Student Research Group assisted him during the event, actively participating in the record-breaking exercise itself, as well as during the preparations and training portion. Students and lecturers reviewed the rules, corrected first aid posture, maintained rhythm, and assisted in the smooth transition of the paramedic on the manikins.
The event was attended by students and faculty from the WSZ in Gdańsk, university administration staff, and students and teachers from Tricity schools – the 5th General Secondary School in Gdynia, lifeguard classes from the 4th General Secondary School in Gdańsk, and 6th and 7th graders from the "Społeczna Jedynka" Primary School in Gdynia. Together, we learned how to save lives! A total of 381 people participated in the record-breaking attempt!
