Recruitment for second-cycle studies

RECRUITMENT DATES

  • for the winter semester (classes from October) – runs from March 15 to September 15 *,
  • for the summer semester (classes from March) – runs from November 15 to February 15.

* Recruitment for a given field of study is conducted until the limit of places set by the Rector is filled or a decision is made to terminate recruitment for that field. 

RECRUITMENT CONDITIONS

Recruitment is carried out on a first-come, first-served basis; all you need to do is submit a complete set of recruitment documents.
We do not conduct entrance exams.
PLACE IS GUARANTEED BY SUBMISSION COMPLETE REQUIRED RECRUITMENT DOCUMENTS.

The condition for admission to second-cycle studies is to hold a diploma of completion of studies: first-cycle, second-cycle or uniform master's degree and to meet additional requirements depending on the chosen field of second-cycle studies:

COSMETOLOGY

A person may be admitted to the second-cycle cosmetology program if:

  1. holds a professional title: bachelor's degree, engineer's degree, master's degree or equivalent;
  2. completed higher education in at least one of the following fields:
    – medical sciences and health sciences in the following disciplines: pharmaceutical sciences, medical sciences, physical culture sciences, health sciences,
    – exact and natural sciences in the following disciplines: biological sciences, chemical sciences

and/or

  1. has documented knowledge and skills provided for in the first-cycle study program in cosmetology (obtained in the course of studies or through other formal, non-formal and informal education that allows for the verification of achieved learning outcomes).

Applications from candidates who are not graduates of undergraduate cosmetology programs are reviewed individually by the Rector. To verify eligibility, applications must be accompanied by diplomas and supplements, certificates, and other documents confirming completed cosmetology education.

The decision to enroll in second-cycle studies may be dependent on the need to supplement the required learning outcomes in cosmetology through the completion of additional courses.

A candidate referred to a course who decides to complete it at the Gdańsk Medical Academy of Applied Sciences is obliged to complete it within the deadlines set by the University and enabling admission to second-cycle studies in a given academic year.

Participation in the course is subject to a fee (details regarding the implementation of courses, dates and fees are available on the University's website.

In case of completing a course other than cosmetology, you must submit >>application<  (at the Promotion and Recruitment Office) and successfully pass the verification of the diploma and higher education supplement.

DIETETICS

A person may be admitted to the second-cycle dietetics program if:

  1. has a professional title: bachelor's degree, engineer's degree, master's degree or equivalent, and
  2. completed higher education in at least one of the following fields:
    – medical sciences and health sciences in the following disciplines: pharmaceutical sciences, medical sciences, physical culture sciences, health sciences,
    – agricultural sciences, in the discipline: food technology and nutrition,
    – exact and natural sciences in the disciplines: biological sciences, chemical sciences;

and/or

  1. has documented knowledge and skills provided for in the first-cycle program of studies in dietetics (obtained during studies or other formal, non-formal and informal education).

Applications from candidates who are not graduates of a first-cycle program in dietetics are reviewed individually by the Rector. To verify eligibility, applications must be accompanied by diplomas and supplements, certificates, and other documents confirming completed education in dietetics.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

Second-cycle studies

Dietetics, cosmetology

  1. printed and signed recruitment application generated on the part – after prior registration in the system and completing the data
  2. a photocopy of a higher education diploma made in monochrome (black and white) and the original diploma for inspection
  3. a photocopy of the higher education diploma supplement (original available for inspection)
  4. printed confirmation of payment of the recruitment fee (PLN 85)
  5. one recent photo CHECK!
  6. medical certificate issued by occupational medicine physician or a doctor authorized to perform preventive examinations with the right to practice the profession in the territory of the Republic of Poland
  7. agreement on the terms of payment for studies (generated from the Virtual Dean's Office system) – in 2 copies

SUBMITTING DOCUMENTS

Recruitment documents should be submitted in person to the Promotion and Recruitment Office (p. 101/p. 102), i.e.: opening hours
The complete set of recruitment documents can also be sent via traditional mail or courier shipment.

INFORMATION FOR CANDIDATES FOR THE 1ST SEMESTER OF STUDIES IN DIETETICS

After obtaining student status, it will be necessary to provide a certificate of no criminal record from the National Criminal Register.
