Oncocosmetology - NEW!
WE WARMLY INVITE YOU TO THE NEW COURSE OF POSTGRADUATE STUDIES: ONCOCOSMETOLOGY!
The increasing number of oncology patients in beauty salons represents a new breed of clientele, presenting new treatment and care challenges to cosmetologists and beauty industry specialists. While modern cancer treatment is extremely effective, it also carries side effects such as skin irritation. Therefore, beauty industry professionals need to acquire the expertise and skills to meet the expectations of clients who require special care and empathy.
To meet these expectations, we present the postgraduate program in ONCOCOSMETOLOGY. If you are looking for information on the latest possibilities of cosmetic therapy as a method to support the recovery of cancer patients, this program is for you.
What does the term ONCOCOSMETOLOGY mean?
This specialized subdiscipline of cosmetology deals with the broadly defined cosmetic care of individuals in various stages of cancer. It includes skincare and beauty treatments, as well as advice on proper, systematic home care during and after treatment.
Oncocosmetologist is an empathetic person with interdisciplinary knowledge and skills, who works closely with highly committed doctors and constantly improves her qualifications.
Many cosmetologists choose to focus their practice on providing specialized services to oncology patients. An oncology cosmetologist is an advisor and consultant who supports their clients in health-promoting activities, such as changing attitudes and habits to promote health, which is consistent with and reflects their professional profile.
What will we teach?
– principles of cosmetic care for oncological patients, which depend on many factors:
- type of cancer,
- anticancer treatment methods,
- the specificity of occurring cosmetic ailments,
- the patient's general health and well-being.
– selection of appropriate cosmetic preparations dedicated to the care of patients during and after oncological treatment.
– performing professional nourishing, moisturizing and soothing treatments for the skin of the face and entire body, including:
- gentle relaxing massages that provide relief and pain relief,
- massages that improve lymph circulation and fluid flow in the body,
- cosmetic beauty treatments, thanks to which women in particular can improve their appearance and feel "feminine" again (such as: eyebrow and eyelash reconstruction, hair restoration, improving the appearance of nails, changing skin tone),
- delicate makeup, manicure and pedicure,
- appropriately selected trichological treatments.
