Dietetics in sports
The aim of postgraduate studies in sports dietetics is to deepen the knowledge and skills of dietary cooperation with physically active people, recreational exercisers, as well as professional athletes in the following areas:
- creating menus,
- approaches to weight loss programs,
- building exercise adaptations,
- sports supplementation.
By pursuing a postgraduate degree in sports dietetics, you'll also become familiar with the practical aspects of sports dietetics, including assessing an athlete's nutrition, fatigue, and performance. You'll also learn about anti-doping regulations.
During their studies, our students acquire knowledge and skills in the following areas:
- nutrition assessment and nutritional status assessment,
- body composition analysis,
- nutritional methods in biological regeneration, and for people with increased physical activity
- planning individual dietary programs (using programs supporting diet planning), tailored to the needs and capabilities of patients/clients,
- planning dietary and supplementation strategies for athletes, aimed at increasing the effectiveness of physical exercise and sports achievements,
- proper composition of meals and food rations, taking into account the nutritional value and health benefits of food.
The studies are dedicated to dietitians, trainers, people with education in the field of physical education, physiotherapy, food and nutrition or public health, as well as all those working or planning to start working on a daily basis with physically active people or athletes.
In postgraduate studies not only you deepen your knowledge but also you increase your chances of getting promoted or changing jobs.
We offer you studies in part-time mode, which last 2 semesters. Meetings are held every 2 weeks, and the number of hours of classes conducted by qualified staff is 218 teaching hours. Students receive a certificate of completion of postgraduate studies in sports dietetics.
