We prioritize safety, empathy, and a professional approach to people with disabilities in life-threatening situations. It's a space for learning, action, and acquiring skills that can truly save lives.

🩸10:00 Welcoming of guests and opening of the event by Dr. Marzena Podgórska, MD, PhD, Prof. GAMNS – Rector of the Gdańsk Academy of Applied Medical Sciences.
🩸10:05-10:15 Patient with disabilities in the Hospital Emergency Department.
Learn about the challenges paramedics and medical personnel face when interacting with patients with disabilities. You'll discover best practices, real-life cases, and ways to improve communication and safety.

🩸10:15-10:30 Evacuation of a disabled victim.
How to properly and safely conduct an evacuation? A firefighter's perspective, specific procedures, and situations that require an immediate response.

🩸10:30-10:45 First aid in the event of a panic attack for people with disabilities and special needs.
Learn how to recognize the symptoms of a panic attack and how to effectively help someone experiencing severe stress or emotional crisis. You'll learn calming techniques, effective communication, and ways to support the person until their condition stabilizes. These skills are especially important when working with people with disabilities and special needs.

🩸10:45-11:00 Emergency number 112 – how does a report for a person with disabilities work?
Behind the scenes of an Emergency Response Center operator. What does a conversation look like? What information is crucial? How can you effectively summon help?

PRACTICAL WORKSHOPS 11:00-14:00 (hall level 0, Campus A).

The greatest value of the event is the opportunity to practice real-world scenarios. This is where theory becomes action.
🚨Evacuation on an evacuation chair
Participants will be able to practice evacuation procedures on their own. Practical skills that can prove crucial in crisis situations.
🚨Choking – react immediately
These are among the most common life-threatening situations—learn to act without hesitation. Exercises on modern mannequins include assistance for adults, children, and infants.
🚨First aid for wheelchair users
Adapting rescue operations to mobility limitations – practical scenarios and techniques.
🚨Stroke simulator
Put on a special trainer and experience what the world is like for a stroke survivor. This experience will change your perspective and teach empathy.
🚨Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
Exercises on phantoms for: adults, children, and infants. Repetition and practice build confidence.
🚨Stopping bleeding – every second counts
You will learn effective techniques for stopping massive bleeding – one of the most important life-saving skills.
