Ladies and Gentlemen,
We invite high school graduates to unique, free workshops organized by the Gdańsk Medical Academy of Applied Sciences. This is an excellent opportunity to explore the world of medical and health sciences "from the inside" – under the guidance of experienced teaching staff, comprised of practitioners and distinguished specialists. Participants will not only gain valuable knowledge but also test their skills in practical classes conducted in the form of exercises.
Our workshops offer inspiring thematic modules, including dietetics, cosmetology, physiotherapy, and nursing. Each group can individually choose the activity they're interested in, and we offer flexible workshop dates to best fit your schedule.
During the visit to the Gdańsk Medical Academy of Applied Sciences, the participants:
– will take part in engaging practical classes,
– visit modern, specialized workshops,
– learn about the offer of study programmes and the recruitment rules and deadlines,
– will receive a certificate confirming participation in the workshops (after prior registration).

NURSING WORKSHOPS – FIRST AID
• theoretical introduction: principles of providing assistance, calling the emergency medical team, your own safety and the safety of the injured person, legal aspects of providing assistance
• practical exercises – the correct way to provide first aid
The classes will be led by Łukasz Wodziński, M.A. or Daniel Zelewski – paramedics, lecturers at the Gdańsk Medical Academy of Applied Sciences.
WORKSHOPS ON DIETETICS
• lecture and practical exercises "Do you know what you eat? Laboratory classes on food composition."„
The classes will be led by Dr. Eng. Katarzyna Żyłka – specialist in human nutrition, lecturer and coordinator of the Dietetics program at the Gdańsk Academy of Applied Medical Sciences.
COSMETIC FORMULATION WORKSHOPS
• lecture on various cosmetic forms, production and cosmetic recipes
• exercises in the chemistry lab: DIY eco-cosmetic (natural hand cream or lip balm)
The classes will be led by Dr. Eng. Monika Joskowska – lecturer in chemistry and cosmetic formulation at the Gdańsk Academy of Medical Applied Sciences.
PHYSIOTHERAPY WORKSHOPS
• mini lecture on the role of massage and self-massage in therapy and health prevention
• exercises in the physiotherapy studio "How to do a simple massage? Techniques, holds, accessories."„
The classes will be led by Aleksandra Moluszys, M.A. – physiotherapist, lecturer and coordinator of the Physiotherapy program at the Gdańsk Medical Academy of Applied Sciences.
WORKSHOPS IN THE FIELD OF CARE COSMETOLOGY
• lecture on building habits for proper skin care for young people in summer and winter
• exercises in the cosmetology studio: skin cleansing treatment in daily care
The classes will be led by Olga Dębska, M.A. – cosmetologist, lecturer at the Gdańsk Medical Academy of Applied Sciences.
WELLNESS WORKSHOPS
• a short lecture on the topic "SPA therapist – physiotherapist, masseur or cosmetologist?"„
• practical workshops: making massage stamps and learning how to massage with stamps and aromatherapy
The classes will be led by Magdalena Kamińska, M.A. – cosmetologist, lecturer at the Gdańsk Medical Academy of Applied Sciences.
KINESIOTHERAPY WORKSHOPS
• short introductory lecture "Become a physiotherapist for an hour – research and techniques in action"„
• exercises in the physiotherapy studio: testing reflexes and using kinesiology tapes in practice
The classes will be led by Marcin Szymborski, M.A. – physiotherapist, lecturer at the Gdańsk Medical Academy of Applied Sciences.
PHYSIOLOGY WORKSHOPS
• lecture and practical exercises "Starch digestion in the oral cavity", which will include, among others, the topic of detecting the presence of amylolytic enzyme in saliva - stages of starch digestion and the issue of the effect of temperature on the activity of salivary alpha-amylase.
The classes will be led by Katarzyna Kocbuch, MD, PhD – specialist in medical biology, lecturer and representative of the Rector for education and students of the Gdańsk Medical Academy of Applied Sciences.
