Psychology workshops for student structures – March 30 (Monday)

Ladies and Gentlemen,
We are pleased to announce a series of free psychological workshops for student structures.

We invite you to valuable psychological workshops that are perfectly tailored to the needs of people involved in activities in the student government and student scientific circles. This is a great opportunity to enrich your skills and better cope with everyday challenges!

Sign up for workshops designed to develop social skills, acquire knowledge, and build attitudes that will allow us to effectively support people with disabilities and special needs in the academic environment. Together, we will create a space that fosters inclusivity, understanding, and social responsibility, contributing to the development of an open, equal, and respectful academic society.

Workshop objectives and topics:

  1. Promotion of self-governance and social responsibility in the context of inclusiveness.
    – Motivating students to actively participate in academic life, taking into account the needs of people with disabilities.
    – Developing teamwork skills and taking initiatives to support diversity and accessibility.
  2. Developing openness and empathy towards diversity, including people with disabilities and special needs.
    – Building an attitude of openness to social diversity and individual needs.
    – Overcoming communication barriers and learning to collaborate effectively with people who encounter various challenges in the academic environment.
  3. Strengthening attitudes of equality and inclusiveness in the academic community.
    – Explaining why accessibility and equality of opportunity are crucial for full participation in academic life.
    – Creating a space where everyone – regardless of their abilities – feels accepted, respected and has the opportunity to express themselves.
    – Identifying and eliminating barriers in the student environment, including combating stereotypes and prejudices, including against people with disabilities and special needs.

    4. Building mutual respect and shared responsibility.
    – Developing skills for constructive conflict resolution and dialogue based on understanding the needs of others.
    – Promoting solidarity and shared responsibility for creating an accessible academic environment for all.

           5. Supporting the development of interpersonal skills in the context of working with people with special needs.
           – Developing communication skills, assertiveness and awareness in the context of diversity.
           – Strengthening competencies such as empathy, leadership and teamwork, taking into account inclusiveness.

           6. Inspiring pro-social activities for accessibility and equality.
           – Motivating participants to take initiatives that improve accessibility and equality in their academic community.
           – Showing how even small changes in infrastructure, communication or organization can significantly improve the quality of life of people
              with disabilities.

The workshop will be led by Dr. hab. Tomasz Lech, prof. GAMNS – an excellent psychologist, psychotraumatologist and psychotherapist in the psychodynamic trend. 

Place: Gdańsk Medical University of Applied Sciences, (ul. Pelplińska 7, Gdańsk), p. 115.

  • March 30 (Monday) – 10:00-16:00,
  • May 18 (Monday) – 9:00-15:00.
