In addition to working in beauty salons, cosmetologists can work in research institutions (e.g., cosmetic laboratories), pharmaceutical and cosmetics companies, and offices collaborating with medical clinics. They provide advice to health and beauty publications. Good communicators with aptitude for coaching can pursue training specialist or managerial careers. Academic and teaching careers are also open in this profession.
