Cosmetology - what to do after graduation
Graduate of second-cycle studies in cosmetology:
- will obtain education and professional preparation in the field of medical sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, health sciences, physical culture sciences and detailed knowledge in the field of cosmetology
- is prepared to plan a cosmetic procedure and apply the cosmetic according to the diagnosis
- is prepared to perform cosmetic treatments: care and beauty treatments, taking into account indications and contraindications
- is prepared to read the composition of the cosmetic and determine its use
- is ready to work with a dermatologist, among other things, to provide recommendations for the care of skin lesions that particularly adversely affect the appearance
- is prepared to organize and run a cosmetology office with a full range of services
- is prepared to assess the quality of raw materials and cosmetic preparations and to cooperate in the cosmetics registration process
- is ready to cooperate with companies producing cosmetic preparations
- is able to cooperate with doctors of various specialties in carrying out the ordered procedures
- is prepared to manage teams of cosmetologists and supervise the use of cosmetics and cosmetic techniques
- is prepared to undertake third-cycle studies
- has the ability to use specialized language in the field of medicine and cosmetology
- may take up employment or run their own business covering the following fields of professional activity:
- beauty salons; cosmetology and podiatry salons
- make-up studios
- wellness centers, SPAs
- cosmetics companies (cosmetics distribution and sales departments as well as training and quality control departments)
- laboratories where the effectiveness of cosmetic products is tested
- companies producing cosmetics and preparing cosmetic recipes
- in education
- editorial offices of professional magazines dealing with cosmetology and cosmetics
Additionally, each graduate acquires detailed knowledge and skills consistent with their chosen specialization.
