Legal basis

Gdansk Medical Academy of Applied Sciences (formerly: Gdańsk University of Management/Gdańsk University of Health) is a non-public higher vocational school established under the Act of June 26, 1997 on Higher Vocational Schools (Journal of Laws No. 96, item 590, as amended). The university’s articles of association were prepared on July 19, 1999, on the basis of permit no. DNS-1-0145-487/RO/99 of July 15, 1999. The current register number, in accordance with § 1 section 1 of the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of March 6, 2007, on the procedure for maintaining the register of non-public higher education institutions and associations of non-public higher education institutions (Journal of Laws No. 52, item 348), is 164.

We are pleased to announce that as of March 1, 2026 Gdansk College of Health changed its name to Gdansk Medical Academy of Applied Sciences. The University's normative acts issued until February 28, 2026 remain valid, and all previous internal legal acts regarding the use of the University's name remain in force, provided that from March 1, 2026, the name of the University indicated therein should be identified with the changed name.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS IN SPECIFIC FIELDS AND ACCREDITATIONS

By decision of the Minister of Science and Higher Education No. DSW-2-07-4003-189/06 of 26 June 2007, the University of Health in Gdańsk received permission to offer education in the field of PHYSIOTHERAPY.

By decision of the Minister of Science and Higher Education No. MNiSW-DNS-WUN-6022-7720-2/SH/10 of July 29, 2010, the University of Health in Gdańsk received permission to offer education in the field of COSMETOLOGY.
