Principles of financing trips

TRIPS FOR STUDENTS AND GRADUATES FOR STUDIES AND INTERNSHIP

1. The amount of monthly scholarship rates for students of the Gdańsk Medical University of Applied Sciences going abroad to study and undergo internships under the ERASMUS+ Programme is based on the "Principles of allocation of financial resources intended for the implementation of decentralised actions "Mobility" of the ERASMUS+ Programme" for a given academic year.

2. The final amount of funds disbursed depends on the length of the student's stay at the host institution. The period of stay at the host institution serving as the basis for scholarship settlement will be determined to the nearest day (one month = 30 days).

3. The final financial settlement of the trip takes place after returning from the exchange and is made on the basis of documents confirming the length of stay.

4. If the duration of stay is shorter than originally specified in the agreement with the University, the final amount of the scholarship will be reduced proportionally and the student will be obliged to return the surplus scholarship.

5. Scholarships awarded under the Erasmus+ programme provide additional support for those going on exchange. This means that they do not cover all costs related to their stay at the host university, but are intended to cover additional costs related to travel and living abroad.

6. During their stay at the partner university, students are obligated to continue paying tuition fees at their home university. Students may apply for a tuition fee reduction by submitting a written request to the GAM Chancellor.

7. The host university may not charge students any tuition fees (tuition, registration fees, examination fees, etc.). Fees may be charged for additional services such as insurance, membership in student organizations, and use of paid equipment (e.g., photocopiers).

8. The student retains the right to receive national scholarships (e.g. social, for academic achievement, etc.) to which he or she acquired the right before departure.

9. Within 30 days of signing the agreement by both parties, but no later than the first week of mobility, the participant will receive an advance payment of 90% of the amount allocated for the mobility period. If the participant fails to provide the required documents by the deadline specified by the University, a later advance payment is permitted in exceptional circumstances. If the payment is less than 100% of the maximum grant amount, the participant's submission of the mobility report (Erasmus scholarship holder survey) in the Mobility Tool system and completion of the language test (http://erasmusplusols.eu/pl/zaloguj-sie-do-swojego-konta/) will be treated as a request for payment of the remaining grant amount. The University has 30 calendar days to pay the remaining amount (10% of the grant amount) or to issue a reimbursement order, if such reimbursement is due.

10. The scholarship amount is transferred to the student's account in EURO.

11. Upon return, the student is required to settle the scholarship received in accordance with the terms specified in the agreement signed with the University before departure. Within 30 days of the mobility end date, the participant agrees to provide the University with a certificate from the partner university confirming the period of stay at the partner university and an approved Transcript of Records confirming the credits obtained. Furthermore, the student is required to complete the Erasmus scholarship holder survey in the Mobility Tool system and a language test in the OLS system (http://erasmusplusols.eu/pl/zaloguj-sie-do-swojego-konta/).

12. The Gdańsk Medical University of Applied Sciences may co-finance mobility under the ERASMUS+ programme from other sources, depending on formal, legal and financial possibilities.
