Educational workshops in the 2025/2026 school year

DECEMBER 18, 2025.

Workshops for students from the Technical School Complex in Sopot on cosmetic formulation with Dr. Monika Joskowska.

Just before the school holidays, we hosted students from the Technical School Complex in Sopot for a workshop on cosmetic recipes.
The meeting began with a short theoretical lecture on cosmetics production and laboratory procedures. Soon after, the students got to work – creating their own eco-friendly cosmetics: a protective lip balm and a nourishing hand cream. The practical exercises in the chemistry lab were led by Dr. Monika Joskowska, a cosmetic formulation specialist and lecturer at the University of Health in Gdańsk.
The workshops were followed by a tour of professionally equipped specialist laboratories, as well as an introduction to the educational offerings of the Gdańsk Vocational School and the admission requirements and deadlines. This is an important aspect of every meeting with secondary school students who are beginning to consider their post-secondary plans. They listened with great interest to the students' study programs and asked engaging questions.
We cordially invite you to future meetings – perhaps during the Open Days we organize from April to September each year.

What are studies like at the University of Health in Gdańsk?
High school students regularly experience this when faced with the difficult choice of their future field of study.
A few days before the Christmas break, we were visited by students from the 5th General Secondary School in Gdynia, for whom laboratory classes on food composition were led by Dr. Katarzyna Żyłka, a specialist in human nutrition, lecturer and coordinator of the Dietetics program at the University of Health in Gdańsk.
The meeting began with a short theoretical lecture, followed by practical exercises in which the participants learned, among others:.
How to determine the "age" of a chicken egg by looking at it under an ovoscope?
Which bread is healthier – stale or fresh?
How to distinguish original saffron from fake saffron?
During the visit to the University, there was also a tour of professionally equipped specialist laboratories, as well as an introduction to the educational offer of the WSZ in Gdańsk and the conditions and deadlines for recruitment to studies.
A visit to the University of Health in Gdańsk is a great opportunity to combine fun with learning!

Workshops for high school graduates at the University of Health in Gdańsk!
Today we hosted the graduating class from District School Complex No. 2 in Wejherowo, who participated in unique workshops on cosmetic formulation. The workshop was led by Dr. Monika Joskowska, who introduced the students to the world of cosmetic formulations and then invited them to a practical session—making their own eco-friendly DIY cosmetics. The creative work in the laboratory completely captivated and fascinated the participants.

In addition, students had the opportunity to visit the headquarters of the University of Health in Gdańsk, learn about the specialized laboratories where students of various fields of study are trained on a daily basis, and also learned more about the conditions and deadlines for recruitment.
Thank you for visiting and sharing your fantastic energy! We're keeping our fingers crossed for this year's final exams and... see you in October!

High school graduates visit the University of Health in Gdańsk
In early December, the Higher School of Health in Gdańsk hosted a visit from the graduating class of District School Complex No. 2 in Wejherowo. As part of this academic year's thematic offerings, students chose classes in beauty cosmetology,
which included a lecture on building proper skincare habits for young skin – both in summer and winter, as well as practical classes during which students performed professional makeup removal and applied a moisturizing mask, learning the basics of a cosmetologist's work from the inside.
The classes were led by Julia Flis, M.A. – a cosmetologist, trichologist, graduate and current lecturer at the WSZ in Gdańsk, who passionately introduced young people to the world of care and professional treatments.
Such visits are a great opportunity for students to see what college classes are like, learn about the potential direction of their future career path, and discover new interests.
At the University of Health in Gdańsk, we regularly organize workshops, meetings, and demonstration classes for secondary schools because we believe that direct contact with practice and specialists helps young people make informed decisions about their further education path.
Thank you for visiting and see you again!

Workshops for high school graduates from the 9th Secondary School in Gdańsk with Aleksandra Moluszys, MA

NOVEMBER 14, 2025.

After the academic year begins, the University's walls are filled not only with students but also with high school graduates. October and November are a time for meetings with candidates, not only at educational fairs but also in classes dedicated to secondary school classes. As a university with a practical profile, we place great emphasis on practical classes. Therefore, we organize workshops during which participants acquire new skills that they can practice outside the University, regardless of their chosen path of study.
On Friday, November 14th, we were visited by high school seniors from District School Complex No. 3 in Wejherowo. A wellness workshop entitled "SPA Therapist – Physiotherapist, Massage Therapist, or Cosmetologist?" was led by Magdalena Kamińska, M.A., a cosmetologist and lecturer at the Gdańsk Vocational School. After a brief theoretical introduction, during the practical portion of the workshop, participants made natural stamps for massage, and then learned stamp massage techniques with aromatherapy.
After classes, the students visited specialized labs dedicated to various fields of study, learned about the educational offerings of the University of Health in Gdańsk, and received information on the recruitment requirements and deadlines. Further meetings with high school graduates at the University of Health in Gdańsk will take place next week!
