Did you know that every year 1 in 8 women are diagnosed with breast cancer?
In Poland, the number of people diagnosed with breast cancer reaches over 17,000, and approximately 500,000 die from it.
As part of Pink October, we wanted to draw particular attention to the importance of early detection of the disease for its effective treatment, as well as to raise awareness among women themselves about the need to take preventive measures.
That is why the University of Health in Gdańsk has joined the promotion of health and breast cancer prevention as part of the social campaign "I touch = I win". I touch = I win . .NOur students had the opportunity to take part in a free lecture on breast self-examination and choosing the right bra.
Our guests were Ms. Joanna Błakita – a volunteer from the Wspiera na Starcie Foundation and Ms. Dr. Dalia Woźnica – President of the Management Board of the Pomeranian branch of the Polish Physiotherapy Association.
