Respiratory physiotherapy from a neurodiagnostic perspective. MODULE I – basic and advanced methods of respiratory therapy. .
During the course, participants will gain both theoretical and practical knowledge regarding the assessment and planning of a complete physiotherapy process for patients with respiratory rhythm disorders and common respiratory diseases. The course will present methods for working with the respiratory, nervous, myofascial, lymphatic, and visceral systems.
During the course, participants will learn, among others:
– how to correctly diagnose the pathophysiology of the patient’s breathing process depending on their condition and stage of the disease – recognizing and assessing breathing patterns,
– what is the importance of breathing in the functioning of the body – breathing in the biomechanical and functional context
– how to choose methods of working with a patient, depending on the changing parameters of the health condition,
– how to cope with stress using appropriate breathing techniques,
– how to use respiratory therapy in working with all types of patients.
Course program
1. INTRODUCTION – changes in respiratory therapy over the last few years.
2. Respiratory system – anatomy of the respiratory system, biomechanics of the breathing process.
3. Comprehensive examination of the patient:
– assessment of the patient’s vital parameters using various scales and measurements,
– examination of the patient’s respiratory tract, diagnosis of shortness of breath, recognition of poor breathing patterns,
– lower respiratory tract pathologies
4. Proper breathing habits.
5. Diaphragm – an extraordinary structure that affects the entire body.
6. How to set a therapeutic goal in respiratory physiotherapy?
7. Manual work techniques used during respiratory therapy:
– manual preparation of the chest
– techniques for mobilizing the chest
– drainage methods and removal of retained secretions
– visceral methods of supporting respiratory therapy.
– the use of various tools (kinesiotaping, breathing belts, etc.) in the patient’s therapy and self-therapy.
8. Breathing in stress and anxiety.
Participants receive teaching materials included in the course fee. Participation is confirmed by a certificate.
