Classical massage course, second degree
The Gdansk Medical Academy of Applied Sciences cordially invites you to the course CLASSIC MASSAGE SECOND DEGREE!
Learn the techniques of selected specialized massages. Learn the theoretical foundations of massage, perfecting your practice through repeated practice.
During the course, you will learn the physiology of the reaction of human tissues and the human body to an external stimulus in the form of specialized massage, taking into account the indications and contraindications for its performance.
We provide all cosmetic and hygiene products. Our studio is equipped with professional tables for hands-on massage training.

Completion of the course is confirmed by issuing a certificate!
We recommend the course:
- students of the 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th semesters of physiotherapy studying at the Gdańsk Medical Academy of Applied Sciences
- physiotherapy students from other universities who present a document confirming that they have passed massage classes
- people who have completed the first degree massage course.
Course program
1. Exercises:
- improvement of classical massage taking into account new massage techniques
- supporting the classic massage with point and transverse massage
- Vacuum therapy, treatment methodology and its application in various forms of massage
- preparing the patient for massage and teaching isometric massage techniques and the methodology of performing the procedure
- centrifugal massage – methodology of the procedure
- methodology of performing cosmetic facial massage
2. Lectures:
- Theory of vacuum massage (Vacuum therapy) – principles and conditions applicable when performing the massage
- Theory of isometric massage – principles and conditions applicable when performing the massage (indications and contraindications)
- theory of centrifugal massage – principles and conditions applicable to the performance of the massage (indications and contraindications)
- characteristics of selected cosmetic massages (cosmetic facial massage, cosmetic full-body massages)
- aromatherapy – rules and conditions for performing massage
Basic information
Duration
32 teaching hours (1 h = 45 minutes).

- 1,350 PLN – for GAMNS Students
- PLN 1,450 – for other participants.
Leading
Dr. Małgorzata Kawa – Ph.D. in Physical Culture, lecturer at the Gdańsk Medical Academy of Applied Sciences, and long-time head of the Department of Manual Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Wellness at the Department of Health and Natural Sciences at the Gdańsk University of Physical Education and Sport. A specialist in wellness, sports massage, and therapeutic massage. Author of scientific publications in the fields of physiotherapy, wellness, and massage.

Campus B of the Gdańsk University of Medical Sciences, Piastowska Street 7. Room 114/116 (level 1).
Course date
Start of the course: March 30, 7:30 p.m. online classes
The schedule for in-person meetings will be determined during the first online meeting. Practical classes will be held on Campus B of the University (ul. Piastowska 7, 80-332 Gdańsk), room 112.

Recruitment
Recruitment is carried out on a first-come, first-served basis.
We consider registration to be the submission/sending of the required documents and payment of the training fee.

Payment for training should be made to university account.
The documents should be submitted immediately to the Promotion and Recruitment Office, room 101, or sent as a scan to the following address: kursy@gamns.edu.pl. The training will commence only if a minimum of 16 people register and pay the fee.
