World Health Day 2024

On April 5, the annual celebration of World Health Day will take place at the University of Health in Gdańsk.

This event, organized regularly by the University of Health in Gdańsk, aims to encourage activity and a healthy lifestyle, promote preventative care, and all activities aimed at raising health awareness. This year's theme, established by the World Health Organization (WHO), is "My Health, My Right."„
This is a unique opportunity to take some time to reflect on your health and gain inspiration for a healthier lifestyle. As every year, we've prepared a solid dose of knowledge for you in the form of expert lectures, industry-specific booths, student consultations in dietetics and cosmetology, and unique attractions like a spherical cinema and a blender bike.

Lectures at the WSZ Auditorium in Gdańsk
10:00 Welcoming guests and opening of the World Health Day event, Dr. Marzena Podgórska, MD, PhD, Rector of the University of Health in Gdańsk.
10:10-11:00 Lecture entitled. The impact of nutrition on skin condition, PhD, Eng. Katarzyna Żyłka – coordinator of the dietetics program.
11:00-11:25 Lecture entitled: Brain Support - Diet and Supplementation, Anna Podgórska, MA – expert of the Health Labs Care brand.
(the role of a healthy diet in supporting brain function, the effectiveness of supplementation in improving brain function, diet and supplementation in the prevention of neurological disorders)
11:25-11:45 Lecture entitled: Rights of people with disabilities and special needs – Sylwia Wojtkiewicz, MSc, University of Health in Gdańsk.

– BLENDER BIKE – a bike with a blender for producing healthy fruit and vegetable smoothies.
– SPHERICAL CINEMA – a dome in which viewers have the opportunity to view a three-dimensional space, providing visual and aural experiences.
