World Health Day 2022
Ladies and Gentlemen,
April 7 is World Health Day. As part of this special celebration, the University of Health in Gdańsk has traditionally planned numerous attractions and shows to highlight what is most important: HEALTH. This year's theme was “Health Direction”. This year's slogan established by the World Health Organization (WHO) was "„Our Planet, Our Health”. With these words in mind, events are planned, including outdoor activities, encouraging people to be active and enjoy the benefits of nature.
Among the attractions for all interested were:
learning first aid,consultations with a diabetes educator,blood glucose test,NFZ Gdańsk – trusted profile, issuing EHIC cards,lecture with workshop breast self-examination, movement workshops using sports equipment,„"Bone Marrow Donor Day" - a DKMS stand that enabled participants to register in the bone marrow donor database,dietary consultations, including body composition testing,trichological consultations and a meeting with the author of the book "Cosmetological and Medical Trichology", Ms. Claudia Musiał, cosmetic consultations, including: massage and hand peeling,infant prevention,relaxing massages,Academic Health Center – cosmetic treatments,rollover simulator,GEERS Good Hearing.
and participants also had the opportunity to be transported into the world of virtual reality and test your behavior in a dangerous situation, e.g. during evacuation from a height.
Moreover, on that day, a vehicle was placed on the university premises. MAMMOBUS. Women aged 50-69 had free mammograms.
The event was open to students, external university stakeholders, and the entire local community and residents of Pomerania. Participation was free.
During the event, a fundraising campaign was also organised to help people arriving from Ukraine.
