5th Spring Online Health Meetings

On May 28, the 5th Spring Health Meetings on-line conference took place – “ORTHOPODOLOGICAL SUPPORT”

Podiatry is a specialized field of knowledge that deals with the diagnosis of defects, deformities and dysfunctions of the foot, the treatment of existing conditions, as well as the care of healthy and diseased feet.

The Spring Meetings with Health conference is organized by the University of Health in Gdańsk on a regular basis.. This year, due to the ubiquitous coronavirus pandemic around the world, we did not stop, we met online with a dose of strong knowledge, full of optimism and energy.
The aim of the event was to deepen our society's knowledge and awareness of preventive healthcare. This year's theme was "orthopodological support.".
We invited owners of podiatry and cosmetology offices, podiatrists, cosmetologists, and people who want to deepen their knowledge of podiatry, as well as anyone interested in this topic, to participate in the conference.

The conference was led by the Vice-Rector of the University of Health in Gdańsk, Dr. Marzena Podgórska, MD.

The conference included substantive content, during which we spoke with experts on the topic of orthopodiatric support. We asked invited specialists about, among other things:

– the influence of gait biomechanics on ingrowing toenails

– problems with which people most often come to a podiatrist’s office

– corrective inserts, orthoses

– problems with which patients come to an orthotist

– the relationship between orthotics, podiatry and physiotherapy

– basic equipment for a podiatry office

At the end, an interesting panel discussion took place, during which conference participants had the opportunity to ask additional questions to our specialists in the general chat.

Conference SPEAKERS:
1. Lidia Zawadzka
Podiatrist and lecturer at the University of Health in Gdańsk. He specializes in orthonyxia and other methods for treating ingrown and ingrown toenails. Based on his expertise, he combines research with practical solutions.

2. Magda Rosłoniec
Certified orthotist, certified in France by the renowned company Sidas. Trainer and representative of Frems Life in Poland.

3. Margaret Sochanek
A physiotherapist, course assistant, and academic teacher with many years of experience in physiotherapy and cosmetology. She has completed numerous courses and training, expanding her knowledge and continually developing her patient care skills. In her practice, she provides consultations and rehabilitation services to patients, particularly those with complex and rare conditions.

4. Alexandra Fenska
A graduate of the University of Health in Gdańsk, she is a cosmetologist and podiatrist. She specializes in orthodontic therapy.
