PODOLOGICAL CONSULTATIONS WITH ONCOLOGICAL PATIENTS IN COOPERATION WITH THE POMERANIAN HOSPITALS NAMED AFTER THE PRC KRÓW IN GDYNIA

The University of Health in Gdańsk, as a university with a practical profile, conducts a number of activities aimed at providing professional experience to our students and postgraduate students.
In addition to completing their internships, our students and trainees have the opportunity to meet patients during various activities. We have planned such activities as part of our collaboration with the Pomeranian Hospitals named after the Polish Red Cross in Gdynia.
On April 27, 2022, students of the Podiatry postgraduate program had the opportunity to provide podiatry consultations and podiatry-care treatments to patients in the oncology department under the supervision of Aleksandra Fenska, M.A., a renowned podiatrist and lecturer at the University of Health in Gdańsk. Aleksandra also spoke to patients about how to care for their nails, hands, and feet during oncology treatment and what to pay special attention to during care.

For postgraduate students of podiatry, this is a valuable experience both in terms of the procedure itself and the opportunity to contact a patient with a specific profile.
