On July 1, 2020, a virtual meeting of experts took place to discuss the opportunities and challenges of the cosmetology profession.
With the growing public awareness that beauty is health, and health is beauty, the profession of cosmetologist is gaining increasing respect and demand in the job market. Clients of cosmetology salons are now aware of the crucial role proper skin care, professionally selected treatments tailored to the client's individual needs, and overall well-being play in maintaining skin health. Due to these factors, cosmetologists must possess knowledge in numerous fields of science, essential to diagnosing the proper functioning of the body.
Cosmetology is a field that combines issues from various areas – dermatology, aesthetic medicine, anatomy, histology, physiology, biochemistry, allergology, physiotherapy and many others inextricably linked to the human body, and therefore also to medicine.
