Modern techniques of biomechanical foot diagnostics and gait analysis

On January 19, 2022, physiotherapy students, i.e. members of the student scientific group FizjoTeam WSZ, visited Helse Medica, where they could learn about modern techniques of biomechanical foot diagnostics and gait analysis.

Thanks to the hands-on experience with each participant, students were able to observe motor mechanisms and relationships. The measurements will be used for further research into the biomechanics and gait analysis of SKN FizjoTeam WSZ students.
It's worth noting that students had the opportunity to use advanced equipment, such as a podoscope platform, which is used to measure body pressure distribution in a standing position and while walking. Thanks to the platform, students were able to perform, among other things, the Romberg test, which measures the length and intensity of the body's center of gravity swings with both eyes open and closed.
