Holistic support for oncology patients – together about comprehensive care and quality of life!
On October 20, 2025, Live Residence Rehabilitation and Treatment Center On 11th of June 2018, a scientific conference entitled „Holistic support for oncological patients” was held in Okole, organized by the University of Health in Gdańsk in cooperation with the Marshal’s Office of the Pomeranian Voivodeship.
The meeting brought together outstanding experts in the fields of medicine, physiotherapy, dietetics, psychology, nursing and sexology, who addressed an extremely important topic – comprehensive and interdisciplinary care for oncology patients.
In two thematic panels, participants discussed the biopsychosocial aspects of treatment, the importance of coordination and cooperation between specialists, as well as how lifestyle, nutrition, physical activity and emotional support can support the recovery process and improve the quality of life of people affected by cancer.
The conference was accompanied by inspiring expert debates and a Q&A session, during which one common idea emerged – the patient at the center of attention, surrounded by care not only medical, but also emotional, psychological and social.
