Celebration of International Nurses and Midwives Day

On May 20th, in celebration of the recently celebrated Nurses and Midwives Day, the Gdańsk University of Health hosted a conference entitled "Safe Patient = Safe Nurse and Midwife," organized by the Gdańsk District Chamber of Nurses and Midwives. Participants listened to exceptionally engaging lectures delivered by Tomasz Aszyk, Deputy Professional Liability Advocate, and Judge Rafał Terlecki.

The lecture focused on the professional and legal responsibilities of nurses, as well as safety in healthcare. Experts shared their knowledge and experience, highlighting the daily challenges faced by medical personnel.

The event was accompanied by a series of practical workshops for nurses and midwives, as well as open classes on hand care and breast self-examination, prepared jointly by the University of Health in Gdańsk and Copernicus Podmiot Leczniczy Sp. z o.o.
On this occasion, the Rector of the University of Health in Gdańsk, Dr. Marzena Podgórska, extended her warmest wishes to all representatives of the healthcare sector. Attendees were also treated to a sweet treat from the University of Health – a cake, which we shared to celebrate this special occasion.
We would like to thank all nurses, midwives, healthcare workers, and nursing students once again for their professionalism, empathy, and daily care for patients.
We wish you job satisfaction, health, strength, and the recognition you fully deserve!
