2nd National Scientific Conference "Orthopaedic Physiotherapy"„
On July 23-24, the University of Health in Gdańsk hosted 2nd National Scientific Conference entitled: "Orthopedic physiotherapy".
Who was the event aimed at?We invited students of health sciences, lecturers, employees of medical and rehabilitation facilities, and physiotherapists to participate in the event.

It is possible to participate in the entire conference (Saturday and Sunday) or to participate in one selected day.
Please note that a single participant may register for a maximum of three selected workshops via registration. The maximum number of participants per workshop is 20. Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Mateusz Krakowiak, MD, PhD
A specialist neurosurgeon specializing in surgical treatment of the central nervous system and minimally invasive pain management methods. He has participated in numerous international internships at leading global centers (France-Mt Pelier, Prof. Duffau, and Finland-Helsinki, Prof. Hernesniemi) as a neurosurgery specialist. He worked at the elite neurosurgical hospital NHNN Queen Square London in the UK.
Ewa Dygaszewicz, M.A.
Certified diabetes educator. Member of the Board of the Polish Diabetes Association in Warsaw and President of the Provincial Branch in Gdańsk. In 2020, she developed and implemented the international KiDS program for children with diabetes in Pomerania. This program was developed by the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) and the International Society for Child and Adolescent Diabetes (ISPAD) to support school-age children and adolescents with type 1 diabetes in managing their disease, combat discrimination in the school environment, and build awareness of healthy lifestyles.
For many years, she has been conducting lectures and dietary workshops for diabetics, educational boards for children with diabetes in educational institutions, seniors, people with disabilities, and participants in social activity projects. She is the author of three books with recipes for dietary meals: "Gotujemy," "Kierunek zdrowie," and "Potrawy wegetariańskie dla diabetyków" (Vegetarian Dishes for Diabetics), developed for people with disabilities.
She works at the Diabetes Clinic at the Śródmieście Specialist Medical Clinic in Gdynia, where she conducts individual consultations and group training for patients with insulin-dependent and non-insulin-dependent diabetes. As a dietetics specialist and trainer at the Social Innovation Laboratory in Gdynia, she developed a series of thematic health workshops for the "Social and Professional Activation System in Gdynia" project, implemented as part of the Regional Operational Program for the Pomeranian Voivodeship. She also collaborates with the Integracja Foundation as a dietetics and nutrition specialist, conducting individual dietary consultations for people with disabilities as part of the "Fit at Work" and "Getting a Job" projects.
Currently, he runs his own company, Fitdiab, developing dietary programs for people who want to maintain their health and figure, as well as for people struggling with diet-related diseases.
Bartosz Wilczyński, M.A.
Physiotherapist, PhD candidate at the Medical University of Gdańsk, and lecturer at the University of Health in Gdańsk. He gained professional experience working with RC ARKA GDYNIA rugby players and young footballers at Arka Gdynia SI, among others. He is a motor preparation coach. His research interests focus on the prevention, diagnosis, and physiotherapy of sports injuries in children and adolescents participating in sports.
His publication achievements include works on the issues of dynamic knee valgus and balance and their impact on the prevention of musculoskeletal injuries among young athletes.
Przemysław Malich, M.A.
Physiotherapist, currently pursuing a degree in orthopedics. Participant in various courses, workshops, and training in manual therapy. He graduated from the Kaltenborn-Evjenth School, studying under the supervision of Dr. Ackermann's instructors. He practices fascia work.
Aleksandra Cieloszczyk, M.A.
Physiotherapist and lecturer at the University of Health in Gdańsk. For several years, she worked in various hospital departments, including surgical, internal medicine, and intensive care units, and in 2020, also in the COVID-19 ward. In 2020, she authored official guidelines and conducted training on physiotherapy for patients with COVID-19. Since 2019, she has been consulting with patients with respiratory disorders, including those with COVID-19. She also cares for neurological, surgical, and traumatic brain injury patients on a daily basis.
