Spin kilometers for Gdańsk
Ladies and Gentlemen,
We are pleased to announce that the University of Gdańsk Healthcare has joined the social campaign "Cycling to work and school – Cycle kilometers for Gdańsk." We encourage everyone to join the University of Gdańsk Healthcare team!
This year we are shooting until November 30th. All kilometers logged will be converted into points, and prizes await those who earn the most. You can spin and collect points not only on a bike, but also on a scooter, skateboard, or rollerblades.
The campaign aims to promote a healthy lifestyle and the use of bicycles and micromobility for transportation in the city, especially for commuting to work and school, even during the cooler autumn months. The campaign is individual, but teams can also compete by joining at the university level to vie for the title of the most bicycle-friendly university in Gdańsk. Please note that participants can only join one team in one of the selected team categories: company, university, or school. This does not exclude participation in a team in the neighborhood or informal group categories.
What to do to take part in the campaign?
- You need to download the free mobile application to your phone Active (Play Store/App Store)
- Register – fill out a short form in the application
- Join the open competition "Spin kilometers for Gdańsk 2025"„
- Find your university and join it (by clicking "Join the Team" – the university is already visible in the application)
- Get on your bike, scooter, skateboard or roller skates and start playing
Full game rules can be found on the website www.grarowerowa.com. Up-to-date information about the game will appear on the website, on the Rowerowy Gdańsk Facebook page, in the FB group "Kręć kilometery dla Gdańska" (Circle kilometers for Gdańsk), and directly in the app.
Awards:
Each point earned for completed rides is converted into the virtual currency ActiveCoin, which can be exchanged for prizes in the app's shop, including cycling jerseys with the campaign logo, socks, bike bags, bike locks, winter cycling gloves, food and drink vouchers, or vouchers for use at Gdańsk bike shops. The winning university receives a free certification leading to the European Cycle-Friendly Employer Certificate.
Campaign partners have also prepared additional prizes for active campaign participants, including bicycle accessories, a free cruise to Sweden for a bicycle trip, a bicycle, free admission tickets to Gdańsk Cultural Institutions and the Gdańsk Swimming Pools, free monthly subscriptions to the Mevo bicycle, specially prepared bowls (meat or vegetarian), and discounts on meals and non-alcoholic beverages at food halls located in Gdańsk.
Charitable purpose:
This year, those who wish to donate their ActiveCoins to support the "PROMYK" Homeless Animal Shelter will also have the opportunity to do so. For every 3,333 ActiveCoins donated, we will donate 100 PLN to the shelter. Last year, thanks to the involvement of active participants in the cycling game who purchased dedicated vouchers, we raised 46,700 PLN for the shelter.
