Nursing - what after graduation?

Graduate of first-cycle studies in nursing will be prepared to take up professional work, among others, in public and private healthcare facilities, including:

  • hospitals,
  • primary health care facilities,
  • nursing and care facilities,
  • palliative and hospice care centers.

Detailed employment opportunities for nursing graduates are specified in the Act on the profession of nurse and midwife of 15 July 2011 (Journal of Laws of 2011, No. 174, item 1039), which also include the possibility of employing graduates, among others, in a healthcare facility in administrative positions where activities related to the preparation, organization or supervision of the provision of healthcare services are performed, in public administration bodies whose scope of activity includes supervision of health care, and performing elected functions in nurses' self-government bodies or performing work for the self-government.

A graduate with a bachelor's degree will be prepared to undertake second-cycle studies and aware of the need for continuing lifelong learning, including continuous deepening of knowledge and improvement of skills.
