Cosmetology – first-cycle studies
We offer the opportunity to study at cosmetology major, we invite you to study with us at the bachelor's level. You can study full-time or part-time.
The profession of cosmetologist has existed since ancient times, but in recent years, demand for this profession, for specialists in beauty and health, has increased. Cosmetology is a field that combines issues from various fields – dermatology, aesthetic medicine, anatomy, histology, physiology, biochemistry, allergology, physiotherapy, and many others inextricably linked to the human body, and therefore also to medicine.
Our goal is to prepare you for professional cosmetology. We want to teach you how to become a specialist in this field.
Our learning outcomes encompass both theoretical and practical components. Knowledge is essential to successfully perform your profession. Training in professionally equipped studios under the supervision of highly qualified specialists working in the beauty and medical industries will help you achieve excellent results. By studying cosmetology, you will learn how the body functions, the ins and outs of the human body, and the principles that govern it. We will teach you how to select treatments for specific cases, how to perform them correctly, and when not to. You will learn the principles of operating specialized equipment used in cosmetology, when to use it, and how to use it. You will learn how to perform podiatry treatments, as well as how to manage various podiatry conditions.
You'll learn how to independently prepare cosmetics based on a recipe, performing appropriate chemical calculations, and determine the effect of a given cosmetic product's ingredients on the biochemical processes occurring in the skin. You'll learn the principles of analyzing the effects of various stimuli on the human body, including aromatherapy. You'll gain the knowledge necessary to diagnose medical conditions and learn how to collaborate with specialists in this field.
You'll also learn how the canon of beauty has changed over the years, what was considered aesthetic and what still is today. You'll learn how to apply different types of makeup and what to consider when choosing styles for different occasions.
We will show you how to be a good cosmetologist – empathetic and friendly towards clients, knowing and adhering to ethical principles, and able to manage your own beauty salon.

Today, as a graduate of the University of Health in Gdańsk, I would like to wholeheartedly encourage everyone to study at this university. Especially those who want to develop their passions and learn from the best lecturers, who possess great knowledge and potential, and are highly respected among others in the professional community. Thanks to a project organized by our university and co-financed by the European Union, I achieved qualifications and feel like a fully-fledged cosmetologist, ready to conquer the job market. This is certainly not the end of my adventure with the University of Health, considering the vast knowledge one can gain here. The school has very well-equipped laboratories and a large selection of cosmetics. I am determined to continue my studies here for a second degree.
I'm a cosmetology graduate. Cosmetology is a rapidly developing field, offering graduates the opportunity to develop in many areas. Furthermore, the university's educational offerings, the variety of subjects, and the contributions of its lecturers allow us to practically expand our knowledge and skills, which we can then successfully utilize in our professional lives.
