We are pleased to announce that the University of Health in Gdańsk has retained its membership in the European Network of Physiotherapy in Higher Education for another year.
ENPHE The European Network for Physiotherapy in Higher Education was founded in the Netherlands and is one of the leading physiotherapy organizations in Europe. It unites 163 members from 23 countries.
The aim of the organization is to raise the level of education in European universities in the field of physiotherapy, as well as to deepen cooperationbetween higher education institutions, students and other people interested in developments in the field of physiotherapy.
We believe that cooperation with the European Network of Physiotherapy in Higher Education will allow us to establish long-term cooperation with many higher education centers throughout Europe and generate new, innovative ideas and solutions in the field of physiotherapy.
We are pleased to announce that The University of Health in Gdańsk has once again received accreditation from the international organization SPA Industry Association.
The Spa Industry Association is an American organization with over 60,000 members worldwide. Its mission is to unite the beauty industry community, improve the quality of education in the wellness industry, and create tools that will enable business success.
We are convinced that the continuation of this cooperation will contribute to the systematic improvement of the quality of education and the introduction of many innovative solutions in the field of cosmetology, and will continue to serve to establish long-term relationships with outstanding specialists and experts in the field of cosmetology around the world.

CONFERENCE OF RECTORS OF POLISH VOCATIONAL SCHOOLS
Conference of Rectors of Polish Vocational Schools was established at the Founding Congress in Warsaw on 15 December 2005, pursuant to Article 54, Section 2 of the Act of 27 July 2005, the Law on Higher Education (Journal of Laws No. 164, item 1365). Its tasks include, among others, undertaking activities for the development of higher education, ensuring the adaptation of the Polish education system to European standards, coordinating cooperation between universities, representing higher education, and preparing opinions for the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
We are pleased to announce that Krystyna Paszko, PhD, coordinator of the nursing program and lecturer at the University of Health in Gdańsk, was among 94 individuals honored with the honorary badge "For Merit to Healthcare." Employees of healthcare facilities, the State Sanitary Inspectorate, and other institutions who contributed to the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic were recognized. The badges were awarded by the Minister of Health at the request of the Pomeranian Voivode. The ceremony took place at the Museum of the Second World War last Thursday, June 22, 2023. The Pomeranian Voivode, Mr. Dariusz Drelich, presented the awards on behalf of the Minister of Health. The honorary badge "For Merit to Healthcare" is a single-level, departmental civilian decoration awarded by the Minister of Health for significant achievements in health care. It is awarded, among others, to: for introducing advances in diagnostic methods, protecting the health of the population, improving health and hygiene conditions, and implementing and streamlining work methods in healthcare facilities. Coordinator – congratulations on your award! Thank you for the enormous amount of work and effort you put into promoting the safety and health of the residents of Pomerania.
During the National Diabetes Day celebrations, we received a wonderful distinction.
Polish Diabetes Association awarded the Rector, Dr. Marzena Podgórska, MD, PhD, the AMBASSADOR of the Polish Diabetes Association badge for outstanding activities for the Polish Diabetes Association and people with diabetes.

Smart Metropolis Award for the University of Health in Gdańsk!
The University of Health in Gdańsk is a university that regularly and willingly engages in various initiatives and activities whose goals it considers important to society. The University's activities are recognized and appreciated by many organizations and institutions, as evidenced by numerous invitations to collaborate. An example of this is the University of Health in Gdańsk receiving the Smart Metropolis Award, which was presented during the 10th Anniversary Smart Metropolis Awards Gala on October 27, 2022. On behalf of the University, the award was accepted by Marzena Podgórska, MD, PhD, Rector of the University of Health.
Smart Metropolis Congress is Poland's largest annual conference devoted to cooperation between large and small municipalities in metropolitan areas and the metropolis' relationship with the rest of the country. Awards are given to individuals, companies, and institutions that have made significant contributions to building and promoting the idea of metropolis. The event is organized by Gdańsk-Gdynia-Sopot Metropolis. Every success of the University is our joint work, for which we also sincerely thank you – Dear Students!
The University of Health in Gdańsk is regularly recognized and awarded in various plebiscites and competitions. In 2022, the University received one more prestigious accreditation certificates on the Polish higher education market – Certificate and Quality Mark “Studies with a Future”. The certificate was awarded to uniform master's degree programs in physiotherapy.
In the Commission's opinion, the field of physiotherapy "„It provides graduates with the opportunity to obtain an education that meets the expectations of the labor market and is implemented based on a modern and innovative curriculum, with highly qualified academic staff. Furthermore, the educational concept for the program under review remains consistent with the university's mission and development strategy, and also assumes high quality and diversity of educational offerings by creating appropriate qualifications and competencies that enable graduates to meet the requirements of the labor market, not only locally, but also regionally and supra-regionally. The university effectively strives to ensure that throughout the entire educational process, students develop appropriate habits and attitudes that provide a foundation for pursuing ambitious career goals and continuous self-education and development, both professionally and personally.”
The "Studies with a Future" competition is intended to highlight the most innovative, modern and valuable courses at Polish universities, implemented according to programs that are well suited to the needs of the labor market, in line with the expectations of the socio-economic environment.

The University of Health in Gdańsk received one prestigious accreditation certificates on the Polish higher education market – Certificate and Quality Mark “Studies with a Future”. The certificate was awarded to the long-cycle master's degree program in physiotherapy. The "Studies with a Future" competition recognizes the most innovative, modern, and valuable programs at Polish universities, implemented according to programs that are well-responsive to the needs of the labor market and in line with the expectations of the socio-economic environment.
Nearly 14 years of experience in teaching physiotherapy This enabled the implementation of appropriate improvements that fully support and maintain the practical nature of studies. Years of practice and the solutions developed during this period serve as a testament to our effectiveness and the high quality of education. The award provides a significant impetus for the University to undertake further actions aimed at improving the quality of education, developing cooperation with the socio-economic environment, and generating the highest value for students and other University stakeholders.
The University of Health in Gdańsk was again awarded Erasmus University Charter (ECHE), which is valid for the entire duration of the Erasmus+ Programme, i.e. from 2021 to 2027. The card entitles you to use European funds intended for the organisation of inter-institutional exchanges under the Erasmus+ Programme, including, among others, the mobility of students and academic teachers.
Thanks to the program, students have the opportunity to travel abroad for part of their studies and internships. Academic teachers can teach students at foreign universities, and staff from various university units can benefit from training trips. Furthermore, students and staff have the opportunity to participate in international projects in which their unit is involved.

The results of this year's ranking were announced during the Eduniversal global convention in Bangalore, India. This award is a mark of quality, confirming the university's international reputation. This distinction is awarded to academic institutions by Eduniversal, a French rating agency specializing in higher education. The Eduniversal rankings have been conducted for seven years and compare 1,000 universities from 154 countries. The Eduniversal Palm system allows for the assessment of a university's reputation on a national and international scale, as well as by geographical zone. This assessment is intended to help students choose their future studies. Among the criteria for a university's internationalization are national and international accreditations, presence in international rankings, membership in international associations and organizations, and the extent of international cooperation. Pursuant to the provisions of 30 June 2000, the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland granted industrial property rights to the University of Health in Gdańsk for the trademark "UNIVERSITY LOGO." The right of protection is an exclusive subjective right with temporal and territorial validity. By obtaining the right of protection, one acquires the exclusive right to use the trademark for commercial or professional purposes throughout the territory of the Republic of Poland.
Pursuant to the provisions of June 30, 2000, the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland granted industrial property rights to the University of Health in Gdańsk for the trademark "WE OPEN NEW POSSIBILITIES." This trademark is a subjective right of exclusive nature and of temporal and territorial validity. By obtaining this trademark, one acquires the exclusive right to use the trademark for commercial or professional purposes throughout the territory of the Republic of Poland.

The European Commission's competition for the award of the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) has concluded. The University of Health in Gdańsk's application for a new Erasmus University Charter (ECHE) has been approved. The charter will be valid for the entire duration of the Erasmus+ Programme, i.e., 2014-2020. The charter entitles the holder to use European funds allocated to organizing inter-institutional exchanges under the Erasmus+ Programme, including student and academic staff mobility. The ECHE WSZ card number is: 220264-EPP-1-2014-1-PL-EPPKA3-ECHE.
One of the components of the Lifelong Learning Programme is the ERASMUS programme, in which we have participated since 2003. We have obtained an extended Erasmus Charter. We have placed a primary emphasis on organizing student exchanges between universities. We are constantly establishing new contacts with foreign universities, all with the aim of enabling our students to study at universities in EU countries.
The European Foundation for Management Development is a European forum for information, research, collaboration, and dialogue on innovation and practices in management development. EFMD is also a European network of organizations and individuals involved in management development, a promoter of quality management education and teaching and innovation in the field of personal development, an ambassador for management development in Europe, and a reporter for these activities to the European and international community. The network brings together over 390 members from approximately 40 countries, including business schools, management and training centers, HR directors, and government offices. The University of Health in Gdańsk was a member of this organization from 2004 to 2020.
BMDA – Baltic Management Development Agency – is an organization that brings together institutions whose activities aim to develop management in the Baltic countries by organizing seminars and workshops for young people from various countries interested in broadly understood entrepreneurship. The University of Health in Gdańsk was a member of this organization from 2005 to 2020.
In 2007, the University of Health in Gdańsk became a member of CEEMAN – an international management development association founded in 1993 to accelerate the growth of management quality in Central and Eastern Europe. CEEMAN has become a global network of institutions interested in improving the quality of management education and innovation. The organization brings together 170 institutions and 42 individual members. CEEMAN's activities include organizing seminars, workshops, international conferences, research programs, publications, and more. Since 2004, the University has been implementing activities related to the launch of broad international cooperation.
Association of Management Education SEM FORUM It was officially registered in February 1993 in Warsaw thanks to the initiative of 19 founding members representing various institutions working to advance management in Poland. SEM FORUM is an organization open to all interested in management development – individuals, business schools, training institutions and organizations, and enterprises. The Association's goal is to promote and implement the best solutions for the education and development of businesspeople. Association members develop a common perspective on various issues related to management development. SEM FORUM strives to represent its interests to governmental and non-governmental institutions. Since 1994, the Forum Management Education Association has been accrediting educational programs, modeled on the systems of Western Europe and the United States. The Forum is a member of EQUAL (European Quality Link), a pan-European system for ensuring the quality of management education. The Association's accreditation was granted to the University of Health in Gdańsk for its full-time bachelor's degree programs in Management and Marketing. The certificate was officially presented on October 2, 2004.
We are pleased to announce that the International Institute for Advanced Systems Research and Cybernetics has honored our university's Chancellor, Dr. Marcin Geryk, with a medal in recognition of his outstanding scientific work, exemplary research and education, and significant contribution to the advancement of knowledge in the field of private higher education. The award was presented during a conference in Baden-Baden in 2010.
The National Geographic Society has been inspiring people to care for our planet since 1888. It is one of the world's largest non-profit scientific and educational institutions. Its members' interests include geography, archaeology, and the natural sciences, as well as promoting research and discovery. Since January 1, 2012, the University of Health in Gdańsk has been a member of the National Geographic Society.
On February 11, 2010, Dr. Erwin Szneidrowski, Rector of the University of Health in Gdańsk, received the POMERANIAN QUALITY AWARD from Zbigniew Lange, Director of the Pomeranian Office of the NOT Federation in Gdańsk. We are the only Pomeranian university that can boast the highest quality of our products and services. The thirteenth edition of the Pomeranian Quality Award competition was organized by the Pomeranian Council of the SNT-NOT Federation in cooperation with the Polish Register of Shipping and the Regional Chamber of Commerce in Gdańsk. The Pomeranian Quality Award is a competition aimed at promoting the philosophy of quality management. This year's thirteenth edition was attended by 196 Pomeranian companies. Nine companies qualified for the finals. They were evaluated in terms of managing processes aimed at improving the quality of products and services offered, customer satisfaction, environmental aspects, employee satisfaction, and achieving company development goals.
