Academic Health Center - Cosmetology

Academic Health Center is an initiative that was created in connection with the project implemented by the Gdańsk Medical Academy of Applied Sciences „"Practically for health - development of professional competences within integrated educational programs at the University of Health in Gdańsk"” co-financed by the European Union under the European Social Fund.

As part of the project, the Gdańsk Medical University of Applied Sciences created a space where students of the field dietetics i cosmetology have the opportunity to use the acquired knowledge in a practical way, through additional training, workshops and projects, including additional classes in specialist workshops, under the supervision of a qualified trainer.
The project participants can have non-students as patients/clients, further enhancing the valuable professional skill of professional customer service. Services provided by the Academic Health Center are free for all interested parties upon prior appointment.

Procedures performed at the Academic Health Center

COSMETOLOGY

microdermabrasion, microneedle mesotherapy
cosmetic treatments using ultrasound (cavitation peeling, sonophoresis)
manual facial cleansing and dermomassage
cosmetic treatments accompanied by TENS currents (i.e. "iron")
microneedle mesotherapy,
cosmetic treatments using radio waves and ultrasound
neck and décolleté massage
hand and foot care treatments
hybrid manicure/pedicure
waxing

DIETETICS:

dietary consultations (nutritional interview, preliminary recommendations)
body composition analysis with discussion of the results
developing an individual menu, monitoring progress
nutritional education

All procedures are performed by students under the supervision of experienced experts and practitioners who ensure safety and high quality of service.

COSMETOLOGY

The December meetings at the Academic Health Center took place in a unique atmosphere.

Cosmetology students performed brightening, antioxidant and chemical peeling treatments, working with the brand's products. Belnea Professional . The treatments were preceded by an examination and discussion of the skin's condition. At the conclusion of the meeting, the invited models received gifts containing samples of the products used during the treatments.

The Academic Health Center classes are meetings during which students put their knowledge into practice and become proficient in providing services and working with clients.

Last week, another meeting was held at the Academic Health Center, during which cosmetology students performed chemical peels using professional Belnea Professional products.

The event was attended by invited models, including ladies belonging to Cultural and Educational Association "Active Senior"„.

On the occasion of Women's Day falling in the same week, the participants also received gifts in the form of cosmetics samples from Belnea Professional and symbolic flowers.
